Review for Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm: a limited customization fitness smartwatch

I’ve looked at many smartwatches, including hybrid, wear-powered Tizen, and Android. Smartwatches can be very strong or very simplistic, depending on what you are buying. While I wear a device from Samsung when I don’t check others, I discover that I am fully flexible; I take a few of the available items. The Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm article analyzes the newest fitness smartwatch that ticks all the criteria, although limited in customization.

Design

Huawei’s review sample was the Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm. It has a 46mm case with a thickness of just over 10mm. The watch’s size, consistency, and weight are perfect, and you may wear them all around the clock. The case is black and has an external non-rotating dial. The top of the dial is an inverted triangle indicator with white lines, and the digits from 2 to 22 are printed at the hourly location. Two buttons are on the side: power and feature. The speaker resides between the buttons on the opposite side of the microphone.

You’ll see a set of four sensors and two magnetic charging pins on the rear of the watch. The sensors enhance the watch’s heart rate and oxygen saturation levels (SpO2). Although SpO2 was not available initially, the latest update has been made available on the watch and the app.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 seems like your regular fitness watch based just on the design. It also has a 5 ATM resistance rating so that you can wear it without worrying about shattering while swimming or at the beach.

Display

A 1.39″ AMOLED 454 x 454 HD Touchscreen screen is available in the 46mm version of the Huawei Watch GT 2. It’s pretty luminous, even an automated light. While it’s excellent outside during the day, it can be a minor problem if you’re in poorly light areas or settings.

The colors are as brilliant as one may anticipate, the AMOLED display is rich and bright. I didn’t have any problems whipping left, right, up, down, or tap the watch face to start a workout. The touch screen is responsive.

Ease of Use

You will be requested to select a language when you initially start the Huawei Watch GT 2. Then you should download your device and pair the watch with the Huawei Health app. Open the app to pair the device with permissions, click on the devices page, and add the smart watch. Your health and health data, contacts, and location information will synchronize once you have been linked on your device from the Watch GT 2 to the Huawei Health App.

Once integrated, notification access can be enabled to get smartwatch notifications as they appear on your phone. You cannot answer them from your watch while you can receive messages. At least SMS texts and chat apps on the wrist would be wonderful to answer. Hopefully, this can be added in the future by Huawei, particularly given that he has spoken (more on that in a bit).

The watch defaults on the face screen and flips left or right across the different screens. These include heart rate, stress, weather, music, and a daily activity tracker. When you turn left, these displays can display data and cannot be delved in. On the other hand, you may also scroll to obtain a slightly more detailed look at your current heart rate zone details by pressing the top button and selecting the heartbeat. Sleep shows the breakdown between sleep and nap on this same screen; activity recording has several additional displays, and so on.

Performance

The Huawei Watch GT 2 comes with a Kirin A1 chip from the firm. The watch works quite well with a quick touch and swiping reaction, as indicated briefly before.

Battery Life

For the Watch GT 2 version 46mm, Huawei guarantees 14 battery days of under-average longevity. We always hit the 12-14-day mark between charges during our tests. However, we did have 8-10 days of daily GPS workouts when we used GPS to track our training. I estimate that around 4 percent of the battery life requires an hour of GPS training.

Wrap-up

The Huawei Watch GT 2 is a superb fitness watch but limited in customization. It is undoubtedly a fitness enthraller with facilitated workout, GPS, and onboard music storage. The Huawei Watch GT 2 is a beautiful choice if you want a fitness watch.
